Re-opening September 20th at 10:30 am

Dear First Church Family and Friends,

This Sunday, September 20th at 10:30 am we will be back in Church for Worship.  I know many of you are excited about getting to come back to Church for worship. And some of you have decided to wait and continue worshiping online each Sunday.
I am so thankful for your continued prayers and support during this Covid-19 crisis. You have shown the deep love you have for your Church with your continued financial support as well as your prayers and words of encouragement.
Yes, we will be broadcasting live on the Church website as well as on YouTube this coming Sunday at 10:30 a.m.  Please use these links to watch the service:  www.fumcb.com or https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCDBLINIeIrrUYxqY5xXSMyg
For those who plan to attend worship in person, please let us know by email or phone so we can prepare accordingly:  adminassist@fumcb.com or 941-747-7706.
We will follow the guidelines as set by the Conference and the CDC with:
  1. Requesting you wear a mask.
  2. Use the hand sanitizers at the door
  3. Have your temperature taken at the door
  4. We will have social distancing with the seating.
  5. We will not be singing out loud, but you may hum along with the songs played.
Thank you to Jim James, the Health Team and the Ushers who have volunteered to assist us in this process. I know this is not the way we have done things in the past, so I ask for your understanding and patience during this time. I pray things will continue to get better as related to the virus and we find more and more healing in the process.
The greatest thing about Church life & worship is the relationships we have formed together over the years as a Church. These relationships are to be above anything else as it relates to our Church life. Sometimes we may not agree on everything and that is ok. But the fact is, our relationships are more important than any decision that could separate us as members and leaders in the Church. Please be patient with us in this Covid-19 worship process as we learn to do Church somewhat differently.
I look forward to seeing those of you who will be in attendance in church and online. I am pleased to be your Pastor and ask for your continued prayers and support during this time.
Grace & Peace,
H. Clark Edwards, Senior Minister
